Intel Acquires Digital Imaging Company CognoVision For $17 Million [RUMOR]

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has reportedly acquired digital signage company CognoVision for $17 million. Cognovision is based in Toronto and has developed computer vision technology. Cognovision offers customers analytics around how a customer interacts with the displays, including how many people looked at the display and how long they looked for.

Cognovision also reports how many people walked by and how long people stay near the displays. There is also anonymous demographics of the audience, including gender and age ranges. Intel and Cognovision already have an existing partnership.
