Tumblr Is Now Worth Close To $140 Million

Tumblr has raised a round of funding that was higher than $25 and $30 million. This puts the company at a valuation that is close to $140 million. Tumblr had raised $4.4 million in 2008 and $5 million earlier this year as well. Tumblr currently runs without advertisements on the site and they seem to be making money through virtual goods like stickers and premium themes. Rumor has it that Tumblr told potential investors to look at their “hockeystick” growth as a pitch. [AllThingsD]
