The U.S. government has been proactive about taking down torrent websites. ICE – Homeland Security Investigations seized the domain of BitTorrent meta-search engine Torrent-Finder.com without giving them a court notice or complaint.

According to the Chinese-language publication Economy Daily News (EDN), the new upcoming Apple iPad 2 will have a video phone (FaceTime), better mobility options, a USB port, Retina Display, and 3-axis gyroscopes to make gaming better. The iPad 2 is also rumored to utilize smaller size panels with thinner glass. Apple announced the original iPad in January 2010. Students at the MIT Media Lab Fluid Interface Group hacked the Xbox 360 Kinect and made it work with the Windows 7 operating system. These students are controlling their Windows screen using just their hands. The students were able to set up the hack using DepthJS, a system that can make JavaScript work with the Microsoft Kinect to navigate around websites. Check it out in the demo videos below:

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has announced that they have 15,000 registered Windows Phone 7 developers. As of right now, they have about 3,000 apps on their app store. Since September, the number of Windows Phone developers increased by about 80%.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is starting to ban all single-station radio applications from the iPhone and iPad. As of November 10, Apple began to reject single-station radio apps. Apple said that they “will no longer approve any more radio station apps unless there are hundreds of stations on the same app.” Apple is considering these apps as spam.

Acer President of IT Products Business Group Jim Wong said that the “consumer launch” of the Chrome OS is happening next year, but Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) still has something under their sleeve for 2010. The company is rumored to be selling a Chrome OS netbook for early adopters and development purposes. The netbook will be powered by the Intel Atom Pine Trail processor. About 75,000 units are going to be manufactured by Taiwan based ODM Inventec. [Engadget]
