Gawker.com has taken down leaked excerpts from Sarah Palin’s unreleased and upcoming book “America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag” from their website after being hit by a lawsuit by HarperCollins. The injunction prohibits Gawker from “continuing to distribute, publish or otherwise transmit pages from the book.” There is a hearing expected on November 30th as well. The blog post that had the leaked excerpt now leads to a 404 error message. [AllThingsD]

Instagram is a free iPhone application that serves as a photo editor and social sharing tool. When you take a picture, you can change the image properties so it has a different color hue or a different frame. Then you can share the edited image on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, and Foursquare. If Instagram actually has one million users as of right now, then that means that 500,000 people signed up in 19 days. Not bad considering that Andreessen Horowitz decided to invest in Picplz instead Instagram after evaulation. [Scobleizer]

In the company’s annual report, Mozilla has announced that they are planning to launch a new “Open Web App ecosystem.” A prototype has already been designed as well. This app store platform would have apps that could run on any devices with Mozilla on it. It appears that Mozilla is trying to get around the middle-guy when it comes to mobile apps. The problem that Mozilla has to overcome is that people tend to buy applications from a store that comes bundled with mobile and tablet devices. [Digitizor]

HP subsidiary Palm has announced Enyo. Enyo will be coming in early 2011 and it features a JavaScript app frame work with native hardware acceleration. Enyo also has faster app load times. One of the more interesting components of Enyo is that it will have the ability to natively scale to multiple aspect ratios. Scott Miles of HP had demoed the framework earlier this week by showing a single-pane portrait e-mail application in the desktop version of Chrome. He then maximized the browser window to show a three-pane landscape layout that looks better on a tablet device. Enyo is expected to replace Mojo in 2011 and is expected to be built into Palm tablets in early 2011. Check out the video demo below (Enyo framework demo starts around at the 16 minute mark).

In Brampton, Ontario there has been a couple of major heists. Last Monday a tractor trailer with $500,000 worth of Sony merchandise was stolen, which included PSP and PS3 hardware. Then the next day, another heist took place near Brampton, Ontario where another $500,000 worth of Sony merchandise was stolen. The two trucks that were stolen look like the one in the picture above: one had a Nebraska plate and the other had an Ontario plate. Looks like Vin Diesel and the rest of the gang from The Fast and the Furious are up to no good. [Kotaku]
