George Castro is a man described as a man that is “familiar with the university’s accounts payable system.” Castro modified an existing Columbia University account to add his name as a payee and received $4.5 million. He claimed that he did not know how it happened and said that “the funds simply appeared in his account.” He was caught with a brand new Audi car and had $200,000 stuffed into a bag.
