Smart Grid Software Company OPower Raises $50 Million

Smart grid software company OPower has raised $50 million in a third round of funding. The company co-founder Dan Yates said that they did not need to raise the cash since the company has already broken even. However OPower will use the funding to accelerate growth. OPower’s third funding round was led by Accel Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers. [VentureBeat]
