AOL Acquires Unblab To Upgrade E-Mail

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) has acquired Unblab for an undisclosed amount. Unblab founder Eli Holder will be working on AOL’s new e-mail system code-named Phoenix. Unblab’s main product, known as Gtriage, has been shut down as a result of the acquisition. Gtriage enabled users to set priorities for incoming messages. AOL’s e-mail system has not changed much since the “You’ve Got Mail” days so it will be interesting what comes out of this acquisition. [TechCrunch]
