Applied Materials and Samsung Settle Their Espionage Disagreements

Applied Materials Inc. and Samsung Electronics have settled a dispute that related to industrial espionage. Applied Materials will be selling semiconductor chip making equipment at a discount over the next three years to Samsung and their affiliates. The agreement started on November 1st. Samsung had charged 10 Applied Material employees with leaks of Samsung chip-making technologies to a smaller rival called Hynix Semiconductor for over 4 years.
