Give that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) subsidiary YouTube is based on a self-serve model, there are tons of copyright content being uploaded per minute. Google said that there are over 1 trillion unique URLs and over 35 hours of video being uploaded per minute. Among a lot of this content are “bad apples who use the Internet to infringe copyright.” Google announced four changes that they are implementing in order to combat copyright material. These four changes include.
1. We’ll act on reliable copyright takedown requests within 24 hours.
2. We will prevent terms that are closely associated with piracy from appearing in Autocomplete.
3. We will improve our AdSense anti-piracy review.
4. We will experiment to make authorized preview content more ready accessible in search results.
