British Architect Norman Foster Rumored To Be Designing Apple’s New Cupertino Campus
Norman Foster is one of the most renowned British architects in the world. His newest project is Apple’s new $300 million campus in Cupertino, California. Apple recently purchased this 100 acre land from Hewlett Packard.
Foster plans on building an underground tunnel system that would connect both campuses. The system would operate through a network of tunnels so that surface area can be more green. “The buildings which will house the engineers and R&D will also be multifunctional and will incorporate cutting-edge technology in materials and equipment as well as renewable energy resources,” according to El Economista.
The new Apple campus would be modeled after Masdar, Abu Dhabi. This is the first city in the world without cars or carbon emissions. Rumor has it that the campus would be named Apple City.
