Sprint To Launch A 4G Tablet In 2011

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) plans to launch their first 4G tablet device in 2011. People were not too thrilled when they released a 3G device (Samsung Galaxy Tab) this year, especially because Sprint developed 4G launched in 2008. This news was confirmed by Sprint President of Business Markets Paget Alves in an interview.

Sprint has two popular 4G phones on their network, the HTC EVO and the Samsung Galaxy S Epic. They also have a 3G/4G notebook called the Dell Inspiron 11z and a 3G/4G netbook called the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. “You will see 4G across our portfolio even more next year,” stated Sprint Director of 4G Teresa Kellett. “We want our consumers to have more choice in 4G devices.”
