Navteq Buys Speed Trap Tracking Company Trapster

Chicago based Geographic Information Systems Nokia subsidiary Navteq has acquired Trapster. Trapster is a crowd-sourcing speed trap and road hazard tracking company that makes applications for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry. The Trapster application has been downloaded about 9 million times. About five companies were interested in buying Trapster before the deal had closed.
