Nokia E7 Phone Shipments Delayed Until Next Year

Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) has revealed that the first shipments of the E7 smartphones will be delayed until early next year. “We just wanted to make sure it’s the best product possible in both hardware and software,” stated Nokia spokeswoman Carol Soriano. This year only a few markets were supposed to receive the E7 phones.

The E7 uses the Symbian operating system with a touchscreen and slide-out keypad. The phone also has Microsoft Exchange, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Outlook, Ovi Chat, Windows Messenger, live Facebook and Twitter updates, threaded SMS chat. The 4-inch screen is an AMOLED real glass display, making it easier to read outdoor. Ovi Maps, F-Secure Anti-Theft, and Vlingo is built in. The phone also has an 8 megapixel camera, HD video recording with an HDMI output, YouTube application, and Web TV.
