Flipboard has updated their iPad application to support Google Reader and Flickr. Google Reader was one of the most demanded requests for Flipboard. Flipboard co-founder Evan Doll said that their application recently won the Apple editors choice for “iPad App of the Year.”

You will now be able to do everything in Flipboard that you can do with the Google Reader web application except for sharing items with a note, searches, or managing subscriptions. You will be able to star and share items. You can see which posts your friends have shared and see how many people like the post. Flipboard shows you the RSS feeds in magazine-style format. Through Flipboard, you can also browse Flickr. You can browse photos, tap to view individual items, favorite photos, and read/leave comments.
