Man Accidentally Brought His Loaded Gun On An Airplane Unnoticed

Farid Seif is a Houston businessman that usually carries around a weapon for protection. This time he accidentally brought it on an airplane and the TSA did not notice the .40 caliber gun either. The TSA missed the gun during the scan and it was allowed to fly on the plane. This isn’t the first time that this happened.

As soon as Seif landed, he immediately reported the incident and said that he was stunned to find how easy it was for him to get on board without a hassle. According to ABC News, this type of incident is common:

Experts say every year since the September 11 attacks, federal agencies have conducted random, covert tests of airport security.

A person briefed on the latest tests tells ABC News the failure rate approaches 70 percent at some major airports. Two weeks ago, TSA’s new director said every test gun, bomb part or knife got past screeners at some airports.
