Unmanned Mexican Drone Crashes In El Paso Backyard

Last week a 7-foot unmanned drone crashed into someone’s backyard in El Paso, Texas. Fortunately the house wasn’t damaged. The Israeli-made Aeronautics Defense Services Orbiter recon drone was property of the Mexican government. The Mexican government has tested the Orbiter to help monitor the U.S.-Mexico border. This unmanned drone malfunctioned and crashed. Federal officials return the crashed drone to Mexico. The Mexican government flew the unmanned drone by Ciudad Juarez. This city is one of the most tense border cities as there was 3,000 murders there in 2010. [Wired]
