Palm Preparing To Launch 3 New Tablets To Take On The iPad

Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ) and subsidiary Palm is preparing to take on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) in the tablet market. HP is going to show off three new Palm tablets at the CES conference in January. The three tablets will run on WebOS 2.5.1 and will be on the Sprint 4G network. The hardware specs are very similar to the iPad: The PalmPad will have a mini-HDMI port and USB 3.0. It will also have front (1.3 megapixel) and rear-facing (3 megapixel) cameras and flash built in. The PalmPad will be available in March 2011. [BusinessInsider]
