Salesforce.com Acquires E-Mail Contact Company Etacts

salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) has acquired a Y Combinator funded company called Etacts. Etacts is an e-mail contact manager company that started less than a year ago. The financial details are undisclosed.

Etacts connects to your Gmail account using oAuth and ranks your contacts based on how often you are in touch with them. It can also connect to your mobile device to track how often you talk to your contacts through calls or SMS.

Etacts had raised $700,000 in angel funding from Ron Conway, Jawed Karim, Ashton Kutcher, Joshua Schachter, etc. Etacts is also known for developing a Gmail plug-in called EmailOracle. EmailOracle tracks messages, sends you reminds, and provides analytics about your contacts.
