Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is partnering with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to help your kids keep track of Santa’s whereabouts on NoradSanta.org. “There’s one timeless question that we’re proud to say we can help answer: Where in the world is Santa at this very moment? Thanks in part to recent advances in warp-speed GPS technology and some very clever elves (elveneering?) NORAD Tracks Santa is once again prepped and ready to go,” said Google in a blog post.

NORAD has been tracking Santa since 1955 because there was a typo in a Sears catalogue that had a Santa hotline connect to the Continental Air Defense Command Center in Colorado Springs. Colonel Shoup told his staff to tell children where Santa Claus was at that present moment. Now this tradition is being carried on by NORAD.
