LG THINQ Technology Lets You Control Smart Appliances With Phones and Tablets

LG Electronics is working on a new “total home appliance solution” known as the LG THINQ technology. The technology lets you control washers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, and monitors with smartphones and tablets. The technology works on LG’s Smart Grid and monitors power usage. It also warns you if you left the fridge door open. The most awesome part is thatit automatically chooses when to run the washer based on off-peak electricity rates. The power use is monitored and recorded daily/weekly/monthly. [SlashGear]
