Apple Mac App Store Launches To The Public
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has announced today that the Mac App Store is now open to the public. Currently there is about 1,000 free and paid apps available in the Mac App Store. You can buy and download the apps using your iTunes account. The Mac App Store is available for Snow Leopard uses through the v10.6.6 updated.
“With more than 1,000 apps, the Mac App Store is off to a great start,” stated Apple CEO Steve Jobs. “We think users are going to love this innovative new way to discover and buy their favorite apps.” The Mac App Store has categories like Education, Games, Graphics & Design, Lifestyle, Productivity, Utilities.
Some of the apps in the Mac App Store right now include iLife 2011, Pages, Keynote, GarageBank, AutoDesk, Ancestry.com, iPhoto, iWork, etc.
