How To Determine Your Twitter Rank Based On Followers

A Twitter Equation: If accounts were ranked by #followers, approx. rank=exp(21 – 1.1*log(#followers)). e.g., 331 with 1M followers!less than a minute ago via web

Pankaj Gupta has come up with a formula to determine what your Twitter rank is based on the number of followers that you have are. That formula is exp(21 – 1.1*log(#followers)). Replace the #followers with the number of followers that you have on Twitter and check your math on WolframAlpha unless you are ambitious enough to do the math on your own with a pencil and paper.

For example, I have 2,207 followers on my personal Twitter account @amitchowdhry. When I plugged that into WolframAlpha, it returned my rank as 276,695. Not a bad rank considering that there is over 200 million users on Twitter out there. This ranking system will only work for you if your account has over 100 followers. The equation isn’t 100% accurate, but it gives you a good idea of where you stand approximately.
