Mac App Store Hits 1 Million Downloads In First Day

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) launched to the public yesterday and they hit 1 million downloads in one day. The Mac App Store currently has about 1,000 free and paid apps. “We’re amazed at the incredible response the Mac App Store is getting,” stated Apple CEO Steve Jobs. “Developers have done a great job bringing apps to the store and users are loving how easy and fun the Mac App Store is.”

The problem is that the Mac App Store security has been cracked. By installing software called Kickback, you can easily pirate any applications in the store. The crack will not be available until February 2011 said Dissident, who is a Hackulous member. This community has been able to crack Apple’s DRM on iOS. Hopefully Apple will find a way to prevent Kickback from downloading high quality applications for free.
