AT&T PR Head Larry Solomon Says iPhone On Verizon Would Be “In The Slow Lane”
As most of you know, today is the day before Verizon’s announcement about the iPhone coming to their network. And AT&T has some choice words to say about the subject. AT&T PR head Larry Solomon reached out to BusinessInsider.com with a statement saying:
“The iPhone is built for speed, but that’s not what you get with a CDMA phone. I’m not sure iPhone users are ready for life in the slow lane.” Solomon says that AT&T’s GSM technology is faster than Verizon’s CDMA network.
Verizon believes that their network can handle iPhone data loads. This is why they are offering unlimited data plans for the device. AT&T caps iPhone users at 2GB per month. This article was written by Amit Chowdhry. You can follow me at @amitchowdhry or on Google+ at +AmitChowdhry
