Facebook has acquired Rel8tion, a mobile advertising company that is based in Seattle and is in stealth mode. Rel8tion’s mobile ads are intended to be hyper-local. “We’re excited to confirm that we recently completed a talent acquisition of Rel8tion, a stealth-mode startup in Seattle. The engineering team will join our growing Seattle office, and we’re looking forward to having them on board,” said Facebook in a statement.

Rel8tion was co-founded by Peter Wilson, who helped Facebook set up their Seattle office. Wilson will be an engineering director at Facebook. Before working at Rel8tion, Wilson was an engineering director at Google. And before Google, Wilson worked at Microsoft for 9 years. Rel8tion’s other founder is Scott Hannan. Hannan was the CTO of iLike and a former VP of Technology at MySpace.
