Zynga Acquires Indie Game Studio Area/Code

Zynga has acquired Area/Code, an indie game studio company based in New York. This is Zynga’s ninth acquisition in the last 8 months. Area/Code will now be known as Zynga New York City. Area/Code makes games for Facebook and mobile devices, including CSI: Crime City, Parking Wars, and Drop7.e puzzle. Demetri Detsaridis and Frank Lantz were the Area/Code game studio heads and now they will be general manager and creative director.
