Bellevue, Washington based online marketing company BlueKai has acquired Seattle based online ad company TrackSimple. BlueKai provides ad companies with targeted online marketing data. TrackSimple was founded by a group of former Amazon.com engineering managers. TrackSimple CEO Jon Ingalls was the director of performance at Amazon and the CTO Ajit Banarjee was a principal engineer that worked on Amazon.com’s software load balancing system. TrackSimple had raised $2.5 million from Ignition Partners in 2008. BlueKai issued stock worth $6.8 million “in connection with the manager.” BlueKai raised over $30 million from investors.
