BlueKai Acquires Ad Company TrackSimple

Bellevue, Washington based online marketing company BlueKai has acquired Seattle based online ad company TrackSimple. BlueKai provides ad companies with targeted online marketing data. TrackSimple was founded by a group of former engineering managers. TrackSimple CEO Jon Ingalls was the director of performance at Amazon and the CTO Ajit Banarjee was a principal engineer that worked on’s software load balancing system. TrackSimple had raised $2.5 million from Ignition Partners in 2008. BlueKai issued stock worth $6.8 million “in connection with the manager.” BlueKai raised over $30 million from investors.
