Scribd Raises $13 Million In Third Round Of Funding

Social document sharing company Scribd has raised $13 million in a series C of funding. Recently Scribd started selling e-books and printed copies of some of the documents that they host. “2011 is going to be a milestone year for us,” stated Scribd CEO and co-founder Trip Adler. “As the world rapidly changes the way it reads, we are rapidly preparing to change the way we deliver what they read.” Scribd reaches about 60 million readers every month. This round of funding was led by MLC Investments and SVB Capital. Scribd has raised a total of $25.8 million.
