Comic Startup Company Graphic.ly Raises $3 Million

Graphic.ly is an online comic book company that has raised $3 million in funding. Graphic.ly was part of the 2009 TechStars class in Boulder, Colorado. The company was originally known as Take Comics and their original round of funding was $1.2 million.

Graphic.ly will use this round of funding to expand their services into an online digital comic store stated Graphic.ly CEO Micah Baldwin. Graphic.ly has partnerships with over 150 publishers and comic creators, including Archie Comics and Marvel. The Series A round of funding was led by DFJ Mercury. 500 Startups, Dundee VC, Ludlow Ventures, and a several angel investors also participated in the series A round of funding.
