Lockerz Acquires Photo Sharing App Plixi

Lockerz is a social commerce network company that has acquired photo sharing application Plixi (formerly known as TweetPhoto). The price is unknown. Plixi serves about 1 billion photos per month and they have raised $2.6 million in funding from Qualcomm, Canaan Partners, Anthem Venture Partners, and Eastman Kodak. Based in Seattle, Lockerz has about 18 million members using their service. Plixi will be named Lockerz Photos going forward.
