Trimble Ranger 3 Rugged Computer Coming In February

Trimble has released a new rugged computer called the Ranger 3. This outdoor computer is intended for those that work in harsh work conditions like construction and forestry. The VGA display was designed in a way that makes it easy to read outdoors. The operating system on the computer is Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro and it meets the military specifications for ruggedness with an IP67 rating. The Ranger 3 also has a GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, 8GB of flash memory, Cortex-A8 processor, 5 megapixel camera, and 1D laser barcode scanner. The device will be available next month.
