Facebook has conquered the world of social networking, photo sharing, instant messaging, video sharing, and even Hollywood through The Social Network movie. What’s next? They want to take over comments on blogs and other online publications. Facebook would be the comment management system and the engine that drives blog comments.

Facebook already has a strong presence when it comes to commenting on blogs and online publications through the use of Facebook Connect, but the company wants to take it a step further. It is likely that it will be very similar to the TimesPeople software built in to The New York Times. There are several competitors in the space including Disqus, Echo, and Intense Debate.
