Enthiran (Robot) is a Tamil science fiction movie about an android robot that destroys everything in sight. The film stars Aishwarya Rai and Danny Denzongpa and it was the most expensive Indian movie made with a budget of $38 million. The movie appears to be a cross between The Terminator and The Matrix, but when watching the 10 minute clip above it seems like that there is no plot to the story and the action scenes are just so damn random. BlueKai Acquires Ad Company TrackSimple

Bellevue, Washington based online marketing company BlueKai has acquired Seattle based online ad company TrackSimple. BlueKai provides ad companies with targeted online marketing data. TrackSimple was founded by a group of former Amazon.com engineering managers. TrackSimple CEO Jon Ingalls was the director of performance at Amazon and the CTO Ajit Banarjee was a principal engineer that worked on Amazon.com’s software load balancing system. TrackSimple had raised $2.5 million from Ignition Partners in 2008. BlueKai issued stock worth $6.8 million “in connection with the manager.” BlueKai raised over $30 million from investors.

RainDance Technologies is a DNA sequencing company that has raised $37.5 million in Series D funding. This round of funding was co-led by Quaker BioVentures and Mohr Davidow Ventures. Previous investors Alloy Ventures and Acadia Woods also participated in this round of funding. RainDance is led by CEO Roopom Banerjee.

Engadget.com has gotten their hands on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phone, also known as the PlayStation phone. The phone uses a Qualcomm MSM8655 chipset, 512MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, and FM receiver. Underneath the screen is a gamepad to make playing games easy. There is also four Android soft keys below the screen (back/home/menu/search). Check out the full demo in the video above.

Demand Media Inc (NYSE:DMD) stock jumped about 33% in their first day of trading. Demand Media is best known as being a content farm that runs web sites like eHow, Livestrong.com, Cracked.com, Trails.com, GolfLink.com, and AnswerBag.com. Demand Media price their shares at $17 and now it is trading at about $21. It got as high as $22.65 per share during the company’s first day of trading, giving them a market value of $1.87 billion. Demand Media raised about $151.3 million in the IPO.

A hacker took over Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook Page and wrote he wants to forsake the company’s riches and give it all to social good. The full message was: “Let the hacking begin: If facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Price winner Muhammad Yunus described it? http://bit.ly/fs6rT3 What do you think? #hackercup2011.” While the hacking was taking place, Facebook temporarily shut down the Mark Zuckerberg Page, which has close to 3 million followers.
