Donald LeBuhn is filing a lawsuit against Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) over the glass case that is manufactured on the iPhone 4. Donald LeBuhn filed a class action lawsuit against Apple in Los Angeles County. LeBuhn’s glass broke on his iPhone 4 when his daughter accidentally dropped it 3 feet from the ground when sending a text message.

Chinese consumer electronics company ZTE has beaten Apple as the number 4 cell phone manufacturing company. This knocks RIM out of the top 5 for the quarter. Market analysis company IDC issued data about phone manufacturing companies and ZTE’s growth was one of the most shocking. ZTE grew 76.8% year over year. ZTE had shipped 16.8 million mobile phones in the fourt quarter. During the same quarter a year earlier, they shipped 9.5 million mobile phones. Apple beat RIM in the third quarter of 2010.

Lockerz is a social commerce network company that has acquired photo sharing application Plixi (formerly known as TweetPhoto). The price is unknown. Plixi serves about 1 billion photos per month and they have raised $2.6 million in funding from Qualcomm, Canaan Partners, Anthem Venture Partners, and Eastman Kodak. Based in Seattle, Lockerz has about 18 million members using their service. Plixi will be named Lockerz Photos going forward.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) plans to acquire Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ:TMRK) for $19 per share in a $1.4 billion deal. This is a 35% premium on the closing price of Terremark yesterday. Terremark is an IT services provider that focuses on data storage for large companies and government agencies.

Some leaked photos of the Sidekick 4G manufactured by Samsung has been leaked and sent over to TmoNews. The Sidekick 4G appears to have a front facing camera and it has the same form factor as the original Sidekick. Below is another image from the leak:

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has recently announced their results for Q4 ending December 31, 2010./ The company sales hit $12.95 billion. This is 36% higher from the same time last year when they hit $9.52 billion. The net income increased 8% to $416 million.

Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE:BGP) said this past week that they have received a $550 million in refinancing loan from GE Capital. The company has to meet certain requirements for the loan including converting delayed payments into loans for publishers.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has announced their biggest annual profit in the last decade. Ford made about $8.3 billion in pre-tax profits for 2010. This is a $3.8 billion increase from about a year ago. Ford had ended 2010 with automotive gross cash exeeding debt by about $1.4 billion. This is an improvement of $10.1 billion for the year ending 2009.
