Graphic.ly is an online comic book company that has raised $3 million in funding. Graphic.ly was part of the 2009 TechStars class in Boulder, Colorado. The company was originally known as Take Comics and their original round of funding was $1.2 million.

Verizon iPhone Hot Spot Costs $20/Month For 2GB

Verizon Wireless customers will have the option to make a mobile hot spot out of their iPhone for $20 per month for 2GB of data. This is on top of the voice and data plans that Verizon customers will already be paying. If customers go over the limit, they will be charged $20 per gigabyte. Up to 5 WiFi devices can be connected at a time to the hot spot. Verizon’s unlimited data plan will cost $30 per month for a limited time. As a comparison AT&T only lets you tether a single device to the iPhone through USB or Bluetooth.

On the Diggnation podcast, Digg founder Kevin Rose revealed that he had talks with Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) about taking over Delicious. This was before an internal memo leaked where Yahoo! said they are planning to sunset Delicious.

It will connect to the bottom of the Nspire line of graphing calculators, which will give them instant WiFi capabilities. You kids with your rap music… Back in my day, TI-89s were the greatest calculators in the world.

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) has hired Heidi Klum, the former model who is also a Project Runway host and judge. According to BusinessInsider, Heidi and her team will “create exclusive original programming focusing on fashion, beauty, parenting, arts and crafts, relationships and lifestyle.” Klum will focus on content around women. Content put together by Heidi’s team will start to appear in a few months.

On the secondary stock trading market website SharesPost, Twitter has hit a $4 billion valuation. This is a $300 million increase in less than a month. In December, Twitter had a valuation of $3.7 billion. This trade is based on a smaller set of Twitter stock and it is not the official internal valuation. On SharesPost, Facebook’s valuation is trading at between a $50-$75 billion valuation.

eToro is a social investment network and online trading platform company that has raised $8.3 million in funding from Spark Capital, Social Leverage, and several other investors. eToro will be using the funding for international growth and enhancing their social trading platform. eToro lets people follow and copy actions of other investors in real-time. eToro has about 1.5 million users across 130 countries.
