Time Warner Cable Acquires NaviSite For $230 Million

Time Warner Cable has acquired NaviSite, a cloud services and website hosting company for $230 million. The deal is expected to close in Q2 of 2011. NaviSite offers e-mail and hosting services utilizing IBM Lotus, Microsoft Exchange, and SharePoint. NaviSite made $126 million in fiscal year 2010 revenues. About 1,400 customers use NaviSite services.
NaviSite has ten data centers in the U.S. and the U.K. They also have two SAS 70 Type II certified data centers and network operations centers in Gurgaon, India and Andover, Massachusetts. NaviSite’s services will be offered as part of Time Warner Cable’s commercial services.
