Apple To Get Rid Of Boxed Software From Their Retail Shelves

According to a source with MacRumors.com, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is planning on getting rid of the retail box software inventory system sooner than expected due to the success of the iTunes App Store and the Mac App Store. When you buy a Mac at Apple Retail stores, an employee will help walk you through the Mac App Store and set up an iTunes account. Boxed software takes up retail space that Apple could use for display boxes of the iPad, iPods, accessories, etc. What are your thoughts about the upcoming changes? Do you like seeing boxed software at Apple stores? Leave a comment. [MacRumors]
