Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is rumored to be in talks to acquire SinglePlatform. SinglePlatform encourages restaurants to enter menus, events, etc. from their computer or phone and the company automatically updates the restaurants’ social media pages and websites. SinglePlatform charges restaurants a one-time fee of $99. SinglePlatform raised $1.2 million in seed round funding led by First Round Capital. It is believed that Google wants to see how fast SinglePlatform can go mainstream before the acquisition takes place. [BusinessInsider]
