Rapper Li’l Wayne is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for Facebook the most Facebook “likes” in 24 hours. Currently Li’l Wayne has 20 million Facebook fans and he is attempting to beat Oreo at the record. Oreo is running a similar record contest and Li’l Wayne smoked right past them. Oreo registered with the Guinness World Records, but it is unclear whether Li’l Wayne did too. “I want people to think ‘Bieber, Gaga and Lil Wayne.’ The traffic we do is ridiculous and no one really knows,” stated Li’l Wayne’s digital manager Mazy Kazerooni. ReachLocal Acquires DealOn For $10 Million

ReachLocal went public this past May and they have acquired a daily deals website called DealOn.com for $10 million. DealOn is attempting to target daily deals for women in their 30s to 50s. Tango is a video-calling application company that has raised $8.7 million in funding out of a $10 million planned round. The Tango application lets tablet and smartphone users make video calls, similar to the FaceTime application on the iPhone 4. Tango uses P2P technology for video calling. Cloud computing applications company Active Network Inc. is planning to sell $150 million worth of common stock in order to repay debt and possibly acquire other companies. The launch of this application coincides with Valentine’s Day and National Condom Awareness Day. There are about 1,000 condom distribution locations across the city. SongKick is aiming to build an IMDB-like service with a musical history for artists. SongKick also provides alerts, ticket sales, and APIs for other partner websites to display upcoming concert dates on artist pages. Vevo is one of SongKick’s biggest partners.
