BMW Invests $5 Million In MyCityWay

Automotive company BMW has invested $5 million in a mobile phone application company called MyCityWay. MyCityWay is helps people find points of interest for over 40 cities in the U.S. This includes parks and restaurants.

MyCityWay was founded by Puneet Mehta, Archana Patchirajan, and Sonpreet Bhatia. Their original travel application was called NYCWay, which gained popularity after they won a city-wide competition launched by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The application will be a part of BMW’s sub-brand BMW I. It will be built into the BMW i3 and BMW i8.
