Zynga Files For Trademark On “Ville” In Europe

Earlier this month Zynga filed for a trademark on the suffix “Ville” in Europe. The trademark was filed in the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). This is the official trade marks and designs office of the European Union. Rouse is the trademark representative for Zynga, who also handles clients such as BP, Starbucks, and Honeywell. This past January Zynga sent a cease and desist letter to a company that was developing a Facebook game called Blingville. Below is a screenshot of the trademark filing from Fusible:
