According to manufacturer’s warnings, the 3-D screen on the Nintendo 3DS shouldn’t be used by children 6 or under. But optometrists say that it is a good idea for kids to try and use the 3-D screen. It won’t do any harm to them and it may help them catch vision disorders early on.

There is a rumor floating around that President Obama is close to electing departing Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO Eric Schmidt as the nation’s next Secretary of Commerce. Former Reagan Administration Commerce Department counsel Clyde Prestowitz endorses Schmidt for the job. Schmidt’s last day at Google is on April 4 and Larry Page will fill in for him. ICANN Approves .XXX Domain

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has approved the top-level domain .xxx for pornography websites. ICANN made the announcement at the annual meeting in San Francisco. The idea for these top-level domains have been around for almost a decade and it was approved briefly in 2005. Adult websites won’t be forced to use the .xxx domain names. The research arm of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is working on a new project that will help doctors navigate around the medical imagery generated from routine CT scans. “As medical imaging has advanced, so many images are produced that there is a kind of information overload. The AP Stylebook is a guide for determining grammar and word usage in the media. This past Friday, the AP Stylebook said that the abbreviation for “electronic mail” will no longer be “e-mail.” Instead it will be “email.” Last year the AP STylebook changed “Web site” to “website.” “Language evolves. Today we change AP style from e-mail to email, no hyphen. Our editors will announce it at #ACES2011 today,” said the AP Stylebook in a tweet. [Mashable]
