Cheezburger Networks, the parent company of I Can Has Cheezburger, Fail Blog, and The Daily What has acquired a company called Know Your Meme. Know Your Meme is a web video series that spun out of a company called Rocketboom. Know Your Meme receives millions of views in its weekly episodes. This past January, Cheezburger Networks raised $30 million in funding from the Foundry Group, Avalon Ventures, SoftBank Capital, and Madrona Venture Group. [Tubefilter]
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) sent out a press release that discusses what they plan to announce at the annual WWDC event. It is unlikely that Apple will release a new iPhone in June as the press release indicates that there will be a focus on the changes in iOS and the Mac OS.
Amazon, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Web Services customers now have the option to run cloud applications on their own dedicated hardware. While Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud uses virtualization, some customers may prefer dedicated hardware due to regulatory or other restrictions. The Dedicated Instances will be a part of Amazon’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) service.
Jack Dorsey is returning to Twitter as the head of product development. Evan Williams will no longer be overseeing the product development, but he will remain on the board of directors. Twitter has been looking for another exec to lead the product design of the company since Jason Goldman left.

Auroras are natural light displays in the sky that is seen primarily in polar areas. It is caused by the collision of charged particles that is directed at the Earth’s magnetic field.
