Chrysler Stops Sales Of Imported From Toledo T-Shirts Too

Chrysler has stopped a dealership in Monroe, Michigan from selling “Imported from Toledo” T-shirts. Chrysler recently stopped a company called Pure Detroit from selling an “Imported from Detroit” T-shirt over trademark infringement. The Monroe Dodge Superstore in Monroe, Michigan is down the road from Toledo, Ohio. The dealership in Monroe wanted to find a way to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Jeep. The first Willys-Overland Jeep was built in 1941 at the company’s plant in Toledo, Ohio. The proceeds from the t-shirt sales were going to go to local charities too. “We appreciate the enthusiasm and support of our dealers, but we do not want to dilute the Chrysler Brand’s ‘Imported from Detroit’ tagline,” stated Chrysler spokesman Michael Palese. Facebook Removes 20,000 Underage Kids Per Day

The Australian Federal Parliament cyber safety committee questioned the former FTC Commissioner and current advisor to Facebook Mozelle Thompson about underage kids using the social network. Thompson revealed an interesting statistic about Facebook. Facebook removes 20,000 accounts each day for age violations on the social network, including those who are 13 and under. Facebook stops about 7 million kids from joining per year. [WebProNews]
Howard Stern Suing Sirius XM For Failing To Pay Stock Awards

Radio personality Howard Stern and his agent is suing Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) for failing to pay stock awards to them. Stern claims to have helped Sirius XM surpass subscriber growth targets.

Shazam App Now Has News Feed To Share Music Tagging With Friends

Shazam, the music discovery and tagging tool has updated their iOS application to support a new feature called Shazam Friends. Shazam Friends lets users share music with their Facebook friends through a News Feed feature. The News Feed will show what songs that their friends have identified and tagged in real-time. If you hear a song on the radio and want to know the name, simply open the Shazam application and click “Listen.” Shazam will then tell you the name and artist of the song along with a list of places to buy it, the lyrics, tour info, YouTube videos, Twitter/Facebook/email, and a link for ringtones. Getupp Application Tells Your Friends When You Do Not Meet A Goal

Getupp is a web and mobile application service where you can set goals and share them publicly. If you do not meet the goal, then the app tells on your to your Facebook friends. On Getupp, you select a category like gym, running, sports, go out, worship, clean home, etc. You will also need to enter the due date and notify everyone whether you succeeded or failed. Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Stops By Conan’s Show [VIDEO]
Biz Stone stopped by the Conan O’Brien show to discuss the 5th anniversary of Twitter. Conan started off the interview by congratulation Stone on the 5 year anniversary. Stone pointed out that Twitter was often referred to as the “Seinfeld of the Internet” as in, it is a “website about nothing.” Stone took that as a compliment since he loves that show and it was very profitable. Toshiba Announces $200 14-Inch DisplayLink USB Mobile Monitor

Toshiba has announced a new mobile monitor powered by USB. The 14″ mobile monitor retails for $199 and it weighs only 2.8 lbs. The mobile monitor screen is 1366×768 pixels and it has 220 nits of brightness. If you plug in an optional AC adapter, it will have a 400:1 contrast ratio, 16 millisecond response time, and native support for Windows. [Engadget]
Google Books Settlement With Authors Guild and Publishers Association Rejected

The U.S. District Court in New York has rejected Google’s book settlement with the Authors Guild and Association of American Publishers. The Amended Settlement Agreement (ASA) let Google scan whatever books they wanted and index it.

Politics Daily, Walletpop, Urlesque, TV Square, and Luxist To Be Folded Into Other AOL Brands

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) has just notified some of their staff members that they are going to consolidate some of their media properties. About 30 brands will be integrated into other properties as proposed by editor in chief Arianna Huffington. The properties include:
- Politics Daily being rolled into HuffPost Politics
- Walletpop being rolled into Daily Finance
- Urlesque being rolled into HuffPost Comedy
- Luxist being folded into Stylelist
- TV Squad being rolled into AOL TV
- Other AOL properties will keep their names, but will essentially become sub-headings within The Huffington Post
