Larry Page Tells Employees That 25% Of Annual Bonus Is Tied To Google’s Social Strategy

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO and co-founder Larry Page sent out a company-wide memo saying that 25% of employee bonuses are going to be tied to the success or failure of the company’s social strategy in 2011. “This is a joint effort so it’s important that we all get behind it,” stated Page in an internal memo. The subject line of the e-mail was “2011 Bonus Multiplier.”

Even Google employees that are not involved in the company’s social strategy will be held accountable. Employees must test products and give feedback while pushing them on family and friends. “When we release products, try them and encourage your family and friends to do the same,” states the memo.
