Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) spent close to $5.7 billion for parts manufactured by Samsung Electronics last year. Apple is Samsung’s second largest client after Sony. And yesterday I wrote about how Apple has filed a major lawsuit against Samsung. A Samsung company official said that they now have “no choice but [to] respond strongly.” Apple said that the Samsung Galaxy line of phones and tablets are in violations of Apple’s own patents. Samsung has no plans to settle the lawsuit out of court. [Engadget]
