Apple Paid Samsung $5.7 Billion For Parts Last Year And Is Now Suing Them

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) spent close to $5.7 billion for parts manufactured by Samsung Electronics last year. Apple is Samsung’s second largest client after Sony. A Samsung company official said that they now have “no choice but [to] respond strongly.” Apple said that the Samsung Galaxy line of phones and tablets are in violations of Apple’s own patents. Samsung has no plans to settle the lawsuit out of court. [Engadget]
