Sony is shutting down the PSPgo handheld device. After completing the production run, Sony has decided that the PSPgo’s time is up. No new PSPgo handhelds will be shipping and Sony plans on focusing on their Next Generation Portable device.

After two years, the PSPgo’s price eventually settled to about $149.99 as of last month. However the PSPgo had a hard time playing previously purchased PSP games through Universa Media Discs. This forced people to re-download games through the PlayStation store or sync games through other devices.
