As Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is getting bashed in the media for storing the location history on 3G devices, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has come out and said that Windows Phone 7 does not store the location information of their users. Windows Phone 7 does have some location-based applications, but they require consent from users before tracking anything. Microsoft also said that their “Find My Phone” service only stores the phone’s most recent location. [PCMag]
