Social networking company Facebook removed a picture of a gay couple kissing. Talk show host Richard Metzger had posted a story to Facebook about a “kiss in” that took place at a pub in England. Facebook removed the story because the picture associated with the story had a gay couple kissing. Facebook sent an e-mail to Metzger saying that the picture was in violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

Decide.com, a consumer electronics shopping company in stealth mode, has raised $6 million in a Series B round of funding led by Maveron. Madrona Venture Group and other angel investors also participated in this round of funding. Decide.com has raised a total of $8.5 million in venture capital funding thus far.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) spent close to $5.7 billion for parts manufactured by Samsung Electronics last year. Apple is Samsung’s second largest client after Sony. And yesterday I wrote about how Apple has filed a major lawsuit against Samsung. A Samsung company official said that they now have “no choice but [to] respond strongly.” Apple said that the Samsung Galaxy line of phones and tablets are in violations of Apple’s own patents. Samsung has no plans to settle the lawsuit out of court. [Engadget]

Acer has named Jim Wong as the head of the Touch Business Group and PC Global Operations. After Acer launched a few tablet devices, Acer’s former tablet lead Gianfranco Lanci was ousted. Wong is replacing Gianfranco.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) co-founder Paul Allen was interviewed on 60 Minutes about his new book “Idea Man.” In Idea Man, Allen was very transparent about his relationship with Bill Gates during the start of Microsoft. Nokia Releases Ovi Maps 3D Beta

Nokia has launched a beta version of Ovi Maps 3D. Ovi Maps now has the ability to display cities in a 3D view that you can zoom into and out of. You can activate the 3D view at maps.ovi.com. To make these maps possible, Nokia had partnered with 3D mapping solutions company C3. Nokia’s Ovi Maps 3D is only available in a limited number of cities.
