Social networking company Facebook removed a picture of a gay couple kissing. Talk show host Richard Metzger had posted a story to Facebook about a “kiss in” that took place at a pub in England. Facebook removed the story because the picture associated with the story had a gay couple kissing. Facebook sent an e-mail to Metzger saying that the picture was in violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) spent close to $5.7 billion for parts manufactured by Samsung Electronics last year. Apple is Samsung’s second largest client after Sony. And yesterday I wrote about how Apple has filed a major lawsuit against Samsung. A Samsung company official said that they now have “no choice but [to] respond strongly.” Apple said that the Samsung Galaxy line of phones and tablets are in violations of Apple’s own patents. Nokia has launched a beta version of Ovi Maps 3D. Ovi Maps now has the ability to display cities in a 3D view that you can zoom into and out of. You can activate the 3D view at maps.ovi.com. To make these maps possible, Nokia had partnered with 3D mapping solutions company C3. Nokia’s Ovi Maps 3D is only available in a limited number of cities.
