Groupon Inc. has hired Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as the lead underwriters for an IPO that they are planning for later this year according to sources with The Wall Street Journal. Groupon is expected to be valued at between $15 and $20 billion when the company goes IPO. JP Morgan Chase & Co. is expected to be a co-manager for the IPO according to the same sources.

In July 2008 Nancy Cooper went for a jog in Cary, North Carolina. However she disappeared. Her body was found in a drainage ditch near Holly Springs Road and Fielding Drive outside of Cary town limits. After an autopsy, it was discovered that Nancy was strangled.

KupiVIP is the largest online private members shopping club in Russia for purchasing designer brands. KupiVIP has raised $55 million in a third round of funding. The investors in this round include Balderton Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Russia Partners. Other investors in this round include Accel Partners and Mangrove Capital Partners.

This is the first quarterly earnings that Larry Page reported as the newly appointed Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO after Eric Schmidt stepped down. Google reported $8.58 billion in gross revenue for the first quarter 2011. This is a 27% increase over the first quarter of last year. However the numbers are slightly less than what analysts were expecting.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has released iOS 4.3.2, which fixes FaceTime freezing issues. The operating system update also fixes problems with the iPad WiFi+3G connectivity. This software update is applicable to the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, and the original iPad. [MacStories]

Nintendo has announced that they have sold 400,000 of the 3DS units in the first seven days of launching in the U.S. The 3DS retails for $249, which may have caused some consumers to hold back on being early adopters. Nintendo sold about 2.5 million Pokemon games in March. The older DS console outsold the 3DS by 60,000 units. “Both Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo DS family had a strong month, indicating that Nintendo has something for everyone,” stated Nintendo of America senior director of corporate communications Charlie Scibetta. LaShanda Armstrong was a mother of four children. She drove her minivan off of a pier with four children inside on purpose. Armstrong and three of her children – Landon Pierre (5), Lance Pierre (2), and Lainaina Pierre (11 months) drowned. Lashaun, Armstrong’s 10 year old son, escaped out of a window as the van sank. Armstrong was acting strange before the incidence and she told a friend that she felt like someone was watching her. Armstrong and her boyfriend had a fight with her boyfriend before the incident as well. Before driving off the pier, Armstrong wrote a Facebook status that said “I’m sorry everyone forgive me please for what I’m gonna do… This is it!!!” [Gawker]

Match.com is being sued by a woman in California since she was sexually assaulted after a date. Mark L. Webb filed the civil lawsuit against Match.com on behalf of the woman in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit is demanding that Match.com screens members for potential sexual predators. Webb filed for a temporary injunction to prevent Match.com from allowing new members to join until the issue is fixed. The woman met the predator last year at Urth Cafe in West Hollywood.
